Great flattering dress for any girl July 24, 2010 Jenni I wore this dress as a bridesmaid and it was so beautiful. Its a nice satin and has a shawl that black on one side and the color you pick on the other. it may need hemmed on a shorter girl since it is tea length, and that can make a short girl look shorter legged. The bust space is ample and might need to be taken in for smaller busted girls. I added picture we are the beach wedding in the red. As you can see its great for the size 2 girl and the size 22 girl. I would recommend this dress
dress review May 18, 2010 S. Varoli (Pittsburgh, PA) I was overall satisfied with the dress. In the product description it said that the hem of the dress would hit below the knee, which i took to mean that it would hit just below the knee. I am almost 5'9" and when i tried the dress on, it came almost to my ankle. My only complaint is that i had to have it altered to make it a tea length dress, however because of how cute the dress was, i was willing to do so.
Beautiful little dress May 13, 2010 Michelle R. Rush (South Jersey) Purchased this but was concerned about the sizing. The XL I was worried would be too big in the bust and small in the waist, or at least snug but the XXL looked way too big. Well either I measured her wrong or the waist was more forgiving then stated and the bust slightly smaller. Selected the baby blue. Shipping was speedy and the dress arrived in perfect condition, with a coupon for a discount on a future purchase. Will hold onto that! You can't beat the price for a prom worthy dress that's not in stock at local stores, so you'll more then likely stand out.
Perfect Wedding Guest Dress! May 3, 2010 mamajoss (PA) I ordered this dress for a May 1st wedding and it was perfect! I am 5'6" 140lbs. and ordered a medium in black. The fit was very flattering and the dress is made very well! I received a lot of compliments and will certainly be wearing this again. I did add an i-hook closure to the top of the zipper on the back as I was nervous it may become un-zipped, but it was really unnecessary. The dress came with a matching wrap. I also added a crystal button to the center of the bow for a little added glitz. Shipping was super-fast and a highly recommend this shop! Thanks so much. [I will be adding a photo -- it's from the top up...I will try to find a full-length photo in the future to also post]
Gorgeous, but bust measurements off March 17, 2010 S. Bradham (Maryland) I got the dress in record time. Ordered Sunday had it in Maryland Wednesday afternoon. I ordered the Royal, which is a nice, deep, blue. Lighter than navy. It came in a medium-sized USPS priority box & is almost ready to wear with just a couple of slight lines where it was folded.
This is intended to be my wedding dress for a simple, fun wedding.
The good - it is a very flattering cut. I used to be hourglass before I had my son & now my waist has broadened a bit, but this smooths me out very nicely. I am 5'8" and it hits me about mid-calf. Beautiful color, nice quality satin. Overall, well-made & *very* reasonably priced.
The "bad" - my bust & waist measurements match the measurements in the size chart exactly. Part of the reason I chose this dress is because it matched my measurements so well...I even measured twice on different days, just to be sure. When I tried on the dress however (I just measured myself the day before yesterday, everything is still the same), the bust was too large. I'm a full D-cup, so this is an unusual problem for me. It's large enough that a padded push-up bra cannot compensate. It is fully loose & anyone taller than my chest would have a full & open view of my goodies, which is not what I'm going for on the wedding day!
Overall - I love the dress, but am a little bummed that the sizing of the top is significantly off & I will have to figure out a way to alter it to fit. Since the bodice seams are boned, I'm going to attempt to take it in at the zipper...we'll see how well that works out...
